Seattle Opera’s Big Opera Party
Thinking Outside the Traditional Event Venue
An annual fundraising gala for Seattle Opera made a triumphant return to in-person festivities after COVID-19 disruptions. Transforming a city street next to The Opera Center into a tented outdoor ballroom, our team overcame logistical challenges to deliver an unforgettable evening. Themed as a “Masquerade Ball in a Secret Garden,” the event drew inspiration from Mozart’s opera, The Marriage of Figaro, featuring a one-night-only operatic comedy.
Hosting 340 guests, the gala surpassed its $774,000 goal, grossing a historic $1,026,000. Innovative planning, including negotiating a 5-day street closure and incorporating a city light pole inside the tent, showcased our expertise. Themed decor, a clear tent with a garden ambiance, and an operatic comedy performance created an unforgettable experience.
This event was recognized on the international stage with the 2023 Esprit Award for Best Logistics for a Non-profit Event.
